What is there to say about Quake I that hasn't been said. It's the classic first person shooter that sees you employed as a marine to rid the galaxies of all evil beasts and demons.
Armed with an array of weapons you track your way around each level to find the exit. Anything that jumps out at you you need to shoot. And with lots of frightening surprises, suspenseful music and gloomy visuals it can be a rather scary adventure.
Quake might be up to version 4 now, but the great thing about the classic adventure is it still entertains and lives up to expectations even when you revisit the original.
I always liked playing Quake on a big screen so I was happily surprised to see how well it works shrunk down as a mobile version. This edition is a port of the original one so you need to load the levels of the original game.
The one big disappointment is there is no network play which is one of the greatest features of the game but it's still very good fun as a one player version.
